Its been a while since I have posted some images so I figured that I would share with you all some from 2 backpacking trips this week.
The first was my Capitol Trip followed by my Gores Trip.
Enjoy and thanks for looking.

In a word: stunning! They are all incredible!

Those first 2 are unbelievable! Great job! I tried to climb Capitol once a number of years ago, but we ran out of time and had to turn back as we were nearing the knife-edged ridge.
Never studied the Pierre side, but your photos are simply wonderful!
The Grand Traverse pics are also unique and stunning. How difficult is Valhalla to climb?

You've REALLY been on your game all summer, JG, and these collections add to a growing list of powerful, and seldom-seen, seldom-photographed views. As far as I'm concerned, you are currently The Man!

Having climbed both Capitol and Snowmass, these bring back great memories. The alpenglow along the Pierre Lakes Cirque is great. And the Gore images are just incredible too. Great stuff, Jody!

The Gore shots are truly inspiring. Some really great stuff, Jody. I almost hesitate to mention, but am curious what you did for exposure control on some of the shots, particularly the Capitol pk alpenglow shots. I think the brightness is a little too even between the shaded and bright areas, so it looks unnatural.

Great stuff, man!
I soooo wanted to get into the Gores this year. Now I'm kicking myself even more.

Awesome! Very unique, not many people can get to these perspectives so you have an edge! Great stuff!

Both series are very nice Jody.

Great stuff, Jodie... my favorites are Capitol 2, 3 and 4.

Wow, I agree with Todd's conferment - you are 'The Man'. Killer groups of shots - some of my favs are in the Capitol Peak group. I'm guessing these were with digital SLR not 4x5, right?

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I love your long lens comps - they really emphasize the ruggedness of the ranges. There's many stunners, but my very favorite is "Red Peak 13,185ft"

Might I add that Jody is doing these death marches carrying a Pentax 6x7 system. Makes it all the more amazing an artistic and physical feat.

These are all amazing. I've got to agree with everyone else, "you are the man!".

Wow, is right. Doesn't get much better for mountain photography. I'm with Jack on my favorite. The kiss of the light in the foreground is awesome. Excellent collection Jody!

Awesome collection Jody!. You captured some unique views and compositions that probably only a few ever see, and boy what great light on some of them peaks!.

I'm late to the party with these images, but I agree with all the accolades everyone has showered you with. These are some wonderful (and hard earned) shots. Congrats!

That's a remarkably strong collection of images, Jody. Another vote for Red Peak as the pick of the litter, but it's a tough tough choice. Great shooting and uncommon views - nice work all around!

Wow do the Gores look rugged. I particularly like the first and fourth of the Gores gallery.
