Hwy. 123 will no doubt be a better detour for many purposes than the one designated by the Highway Department, which involves following 27 from Dover to 16 and Witt Springs and then over to Pelsor.

Thanks Randy, here is so more information from a friend that paddled Richland Creek yesterday. The low water bridge and campground are also closed at Richland Creek. The only access is from the north side of the creek. Falling Water Creek road is still blocked. I hope they get some of this fixed soon!

Tom, do you know whether the bridge is closed because of high water, or has it sustained some kind of damage that makes it impassible?

Randy, I am pretty sure the bridge is ok, it is the approaches that are washed out. I will double check and let you know.

Thanks, Tom, you told me what I needed to know.
