I spent some time in a place called Whalenberg fjord looking for Ivory Gulls and there was two very large Glaciers that were calving some big chunks of Ice. Then these Icebergs and growlers just drift out of the fjord ableit slowly towards the ocean. The shapes and colours are amazing as is the sandstone. The nearest I can descibe it is Ice in the Namiba desert.
Now that looks like one very spectacular location
A very fine shot with a stunning combination of blue and gold.
Beautiful crisp, clear light too.

"Out of this world" is about the only description I can think of .!
Beautiful picture.- All the more emphasised by the weather in the UK at the moment !
Great stuff Danny

Hello John It was unbelievable weather I had six or seven days of weather like this on the trot, this shot was taken at I,00 in the morning but boy when we did get a storm it was the scariest thing I have been through apart from being attacked by a walrus

Wonderful colours Danny and the contrast between the cold ice/water and the warm sandstone is something I have not seen before. Impressive. Eric
Very interesting indeed Danny. I have never seen anything like this before.

Hi Danny,
I think I would call it "Natural Art" or something like that. Good picture, very nice colours.

The ice is melting and we're getting all the rain. Superb environmental image.

Hello Rob yes it was 1 o'clock in the morning as the sun never set so I was photographing through the night and resting during the day.
David this year the Ice was very late dissapearing and I couldn't go to a couple of locations because the Ice was to thick I wanted to go to an Island in the East but the Ice was solid and has been throughout the summer but then when I get back I hear both the north west and east passages have opened up for the first time on record very strange times ahead me thinks

I keep coming back to this. My views must be a large part of the total !!
It hits me straight between the eyes every time I look at it.
Its the kind of shot you want to take with you( as a 70 year old ) - if you get my meaning.
Wonderful picture.
