Lacie monitor, monaco calibratred, photoshop manages colours, relative colormetric, black point compensation, manufacturer's paper profile.
When printing I get what I see on the monitor after colour correction, exposure and or contrast changes. However if I make a change using selective colour in CS3 what I get for a print in no way resembles what I see.
If, for instance, I take out 5 yellow, the result is very vivid greens and saturated browns regardless of the paper and the corresponding profile. If saved for web display this colour shift is not evident.
I'm at a loss to explain why this shift only seems to happen using the selective colour tool.

I'd have no idea Dave....I've never seen that on my 9000, but I've also never used selective color. Can you save the file as a JPG, then open and print that? That should eliminate the possibility that PS isn't sending the correct data through the printer driver. (I suppose it's also possible it isn't rendering correctly on the screen.)
Have you tried soft proofing after using selective color and seeing what PS thinks is going to print?

David,
Haven't tried soft proofing at this point. This all came about as a result of shooting from a small plane. Unfortunately there were no opening windows and was forced to shoot through the discoloured windows which had a slight yellow-orange tinge to them.
I was printing some shots of a rapids and waterfall. If I removed about 5 yellow in selective colour the churning water was white on the monitor. When printed the water was white, but the trees went a very vivid green and the limestone cliffs muddy which wasn't shown on the monitor.
Removed and reinstalled the printer drivers but to no effect. It doesn't seem to make any sense that other colour corrections are rendered as per monitor but there is such a wild shift only when using selective colour.
