One taken some time ago near Carmarthen. They are often seen near the tip at Nantycaws. It is amazing how far these birds have spread in the past few years. We now have them in Pembrokeshire as well, though nowhere that is reliable enough to photograph them.

Cracking flight shot Robert.
I like their grey head and yellow beak.

Hi Robert,
A fine shot and great news about them becoming frequent in other parts too.
I frequently travel through Buckinghamshire and I think I've not not seen one (and many more besides) on each occasion.

Great to see a non Gig job Robert !
Great shot and I reckon a little more space on the left would make it even better for me. No big deal though.
Cheers
John

they are a real conservation success story and always a pleasure to see. This is a very nice shot, the sunshine shows the feathers off very well.

not sure about the composition, but the pose and light are great
I agree Jack, it's a bit central and not my ideal composition but this is full frame so unfortunately I'm stuck with it. C'est la vie !
Cheers and thanks for the comments all.
Robert.
