Moorhen glide
D3 + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
1/50 @ f5.6.
ISO: 640.
Ex Comp: -0.7EV.
Matrix metering.
Dynamic 51 point.
Picture Control: Neutral.

This small pond was completely covered in Duck Weed.
Felt this set the bird of well epspecially as the light was poor and water would not have made to good a back drop.

the bird is very well exposed and I agree the natural setting is very pleasant. I think I'd perhaps prefer a bit more space in front of the bird.

Lovely shot Major, I agree with Jacks comments about the 'skating' and I'll give it a 10 for artistic impression!

Hello Major.

Lovely shot and well captured. Love the detail in the spread wing, and the pose is great.
