Wider Spider
Garden Spider.
This is a wider shot of the same spider I posted recently. A wide angle shot before I moved in closer.
I liked the way it caught the outer rings.
D200 Sigma 55mm standard. No close up lens on.
Camera flash
200 iso f11
Contrast down in camera 1

The way the light is illuminating the outer strands of the web is great and makes an excellent frame for the spider and the inner portion of the web.
Only thing that spoils the image slightly is the vertical 'thing' in the background which catches the eye slightly.
The spider itself is great though and especially the 'web within a web' which works superbly.

Thanks. Its amazing -!
I hadn't noticed it (the vertical) and now my eye goes straight there !
I may try and work on it , but doesn't look easy :frown:

Really interesting framing with the illumination of the outer web. I see what you mean about the vertical line, but no big deal I don't think.

very interesting. Strange how the light has only caught some parts of the web. My eye also goes straight to the vertical line!

Nice image John but I have to say I much prefer the first post.
