How does next weekend sound to everyone?
1/2 day would be good for me.
What day / time period works better for you all?

Sorry can't make it. I am heading out to do a three day backpacking trip in the Shining Rock area. The 21st is open for me but nothing sooner.

I cannot do next weekend but can do the following (Sept 21 or 21). After that would be any weekend in October. Lots of work travel this month (Phoenix, Seattle, Tampa, Chicago, San Fran, Salt Lake). The camera is back to collecting dust for the next couple weeks.

Sounds like a lot of people can't make it this weekend.
Everyone list the days that work for you and we'll pick the one most people can make.

I believe we should also start planning for a couple fall color runs to the smokies on the weekends. I will be sleeping in my wife's minivan.

I can't make it on the weekend of the 21st. I'll be in Memphis. I'll catch you guys the next time around.

I can't make it the weekend of the 21st either. My wife and daughter will be out of town and I have to babysit the horses. . . Looks like everyone except Bill and I can though -- so if you guys want to go ahead and schedule a trip to Weymouth or wherever and I'll see you next time.
I am new to photography, and have a problem finding things to shoot in my own back yard. So this discussion struck my interest because I can walk from my front door to Weymouth Woods in about 10 minutes. Since all of you folks are getting ready to drive an hour or more to get there, I am interested in what attracts you to the place photographically. If your ideas are really good, I can run down the block and steal them before you get here. This is all about creativity and learning to see, and I would appreciate your thoughts.

Here is my portfolio from Weymouth Woods and the surrounding areas of Moore County. Hopefully this will give you an idea what I like about the place.
