Lots of these yellow beauties growing in various fields around these parts. This one I just happened to look closely at and notice a little guest inside.
I like the bright vivid color and the selective focus chosen. The exposure looks great with excellent detail in the yellows(a tough one sometimes). I am a little mixed on the composition. I would like to see the whole firefly, though that might be easier said than done, and I'd like to see a little space between the right side and the BG flower. Ideally I'd like the whole image shifted down and to the right, but that would hide the firefly even more. Overall, though, I think you've done a great job with a difficult subject.

Brad, this is a very nice capture. I like the in focus flower and the blurred background.

If anyone has noticed I changed the name of this flower. When I was posting it I looked at the online Kansas wildflower sight and really couldn't id it 100%. I was around a lot of Showy Partridge Pea that day and kinda assumed that was what I shot.
With the help of Don K. I have properly id'd this beauty. I really appreciate having such wonderful helpful knowledge in which rely on.
Thanks Don, It may be work to keep me straight on my flower id, but it is appreciated.

The vivid yellows really jump out at you Brad. I like the balance created by the oof bloom but with a little more room all around this would have been even better. Nice catch!
