It's about time to start planning for a Fall gathering if anyone's interested. Personally, my favorite area is Richland Creek, but am open to other suggestions.
For anyone that asked about the sausage I cooked to go with the B&G last year, the local FFA chapter is now taking orders. Two-and-a-half pounds for $6.00. I'll be happy to deliver to the Richland Creek campground in October.

Just a note Bill - I wouldn't count on being able to get to the campground in October...

Bill, count me in and I really like Richland Creek, but Tim is correct, we may have to make sure the north approach to the low water bridge is repaired!
You could always hike in from the cemetery. Let's see, 40 lbs of camera gear, tents, water, food, sleeping bags, beer and wine, cooking supplies and utensils. If each of you can tote 100 lbs or so through Richland Creek I think it would be do-able. Sounds like fun!

I'm interested. Other possibilities I can think of are Haw Creek Falls and Steele Creek.

I'm in! Looks like there is going to be some great color with all the water we've had.
The sooner we set dates the better for me.

I am very interested if I am in town on the dates you choose. Pretty much any location would be fine with me.

I checked with the Forest Service this morning and there are no plans to reopen the campground by the end of October. The county judge has provided funding for a more permanent repair to the bridge approaches, but with all the flooding in the county this year, it's not a high priority item. They also said the mudslide across Falling Water Creek Road will not be repaired until next year.
There are several quality campsites along FWC road that might be an option. Who needs a picnic table and bathroom anyway? I've also been thinking about checking the Dry Creek area and Punchbowl Falls, which would require coming in from the north. The area between the cemetery and Twin Falls might be pretty nice to check out too.
