A captured several images of these fuschias after a recent rain storm. I haven't been out shooting much, but these were handy and I couldn't resist the raindrops.

Whoa, great colors, and the comp feels real good. I'm inspired now, maybe there are decent photographs to be had during this mucky hazy summer even down here near Cinci.
Good job!

Really beautiful, Chuck! I don't think I would have been able to resist taking the photos either.
Beautiful, hard to resist raindrops or dew. My wife says verry nice and she likes the DOF.

Chuck,
Well please let me give another opining.--Exposure, 100%, Sharpness of drops 100%... However, I'd probably like this a bit more if the purple petals were not on the right side and there was a more DOF on the foreground fuchsia leaves on the left..... not to say this is not a good shot... just my 0.02 cents. Helicon? but if you were at 1.3 at F18 Helicon was probably out of the question. Conditions as they were probably this is tougher than it appears. Don't forget that D300 will do fine a ISO 1200-1600!
Great macro is a challenge!

Nice!!! makes me want to go and get a fine macro lens. I know little of macro except how difficult it can be with such shallow DOF's and the need to really stop it down. I think I should wait untill I get my Super Tele technique down pat.
