We spotted this guy foraging for berries on our bus tour through Denali. The bus stopped, everyone was quiet, and the shutters started clicking away. It was quite comical actually, I was imagining the bus tipping over from all the bodies rushing to one side to get a shot, LOL.
As you can see, we really hit the park at the best time. The fall colors were coming on strong.

Hi Eric,
I like the picture, not only because of the bear but also for the colors it has. It gives also a good impression of the greatness of it all.

The colors really make the image for me. The bear being small in the scene is not a problem. In fact, I like that because it emphasizes the awesomeness of the environment that it lives in.
Were the other people shooting this picture all using P&S cameras?

Nice one, nice colors. My griz sighting were all in more drap surroundings.

Geoff, yes, there were lots of point n shoot cameras with flashes going off, and folks zooming them to the max, LOL.
Mark, you would have loved working this terrain. It was absolutely stunning. Every 5 seconds I was wanting to shout "Stop the bus!" but it was a tour bus, not my personal photo excursion.

I've always been a sucker for wildlife images that show the animal in its environment and this is a classic example of why they're so good. Gorgeous light, colors and composition Eric!

Very nice. Takes me back to my days fishing in Chignik Lagoon on the Alaska Peninsula with all the brown bears foraging for berries in the fall.

I love seeing this guy in the context of the landscape. A big print is going to be needed here.

Wonderful. This has a real Tom Mangleson/National Geographic fell to it.
That's great when you get a shot of Nature where even a Grizzly looks small! Wonderful color. Same as when I was there years ago makes it seem timeless. Thanks for some good memories and a nice shot.

Cool Eric - did you have the 200 mounted?

Great lines, good colors, and a bear perfectly placed. Did you leave a sandwich there for him?
Seriously, a great capture.

Yeah Kev, there's actually a Subway in Denali...we stopped there first and ordered a foot long Salmon Sub on Honey/Berry Wheat bread. They can't resist.
