Looking for "off the beaten path" aspen/cottonwood tree stands just outside the Tetons (National Park boundaries) that photograph well for the fall colors.
I know it sounds like a weird question but I really want to find something unique that has not been photographed a ba-zillion times (i.e. Oxbow, etc.) and would bode well to stitched panos.
I'll be there the last week of this month.
Thanks again,
Carl

Hi Carl. I recommend checking the area near Two Ocean Lake in the park. It is way off the beaten path and contains lots of aspen stands. I only have one picture from there (http://www.brettdeacon.com/photo.php?id=29&gallery=GrandTetons) to demonstrate, and it isn't a fall color shot, but trust me that this is not only a good place to shoot but (a) you will have it to yourself and (b) most people will have no idea where your images were taken.

Brett's suggestion is a good one. I've been there and it does have good potential but like Brett it wasn't in the fall. There's a potential for moose in the immediate vicinity so keep your wits about you.
