An older file I reworked today. Thanks for looking and leaving any comments or suggestions. The streaks are caused by ice floating down the river. The comparatively warm river water (it was 0 degrees outside) created a little mist too. I'm looking towards Mount Temple, near Banff.

In this case you really have to use a "soft" f/22 combined with iso 50, but the result is really amazing with the ice lines created by the long exposure, very well done . The diagonal in the Fg is very nice to stop the viewer look.

Not too soft, but not perfect either. I could have just used a solid ND, but had lost it earlier on this trip.

Really nice Marc. The soft light and colors are very appealing here. There is a great sense of motion with the ice. The clouds are also incredible. My only suggestion would be to either include a little more snow at the bottom of the frame, or crop just above it. My eye is drawn to the brightness, and for some reason it doesn't feel quite right. ( just my very h.o. ) I can only imagine the dedication for this shot in 0 deg. cold. It sure paid off, congrats!

I remember a lot of good stuff from that trip, including one where you waded through similar "warm" water. This one is definitely worth the time re-working. I won't hold against you my preference for the 4x5 ratio. One small thought, I would dodge the lower right mtn ridge to separate it from the cloud behind.

The streaky ice flow reflection is a very fresh and welcome twist. I really appreciate how you keep things interesting.

Love the colors and choices made on this one Marc.

Colors are fabulous. Of course, I prefer the horiz version you posted before from this river...but this still has great appeal to it.

I like the pastel feel to this, and the sweeping lines in the water with the soft reflections is very pleasing to the eye. I also like how the far clouds almost match the motion in the water, very nice.
