I stopped by here one day on my June vacation to shoot a few takes. It was raining hard the day before, but the next hike up was a charm..

Great stuff Ned. I'm really enjoying the fern in the front. The lines of the stream are also very nice. The diagonal tree (rock?) in the ulc feels a little oppressive to me however.

Another of your great trademark shots, Ned. In a way I agree with Sean about the tree. OTOH, it adds a great sense of depth not possible without it.

Thanks - that fallen tree is going to be there a long time... I like framing this creek with it typically, but have never had anyone say they like it - I'm the only one..

Framing with the tree is an interesting idea, but it's appearing too black on my monitor. It does add quite a bit of scale and depth, but needs to be a bit brighter and to show more detail of the bark IMO.
The greens are beautiful as always.

Thanks, Chris. I will have to post an alternate version where the tree is used to a more useful framing component... I'll try to do that before I leave for 6 nights on the coast.. I'm going to be spending 3 on the North Coast and 3 on the Central..

I'm digging the lushness of this shot. Your processing is spot on as usual.
