I am heading to RMNP tonight for a shoot tomorrow. First outing since the little storm chase with Stan over Memorial weekenend.
What are conditions like? Any trees turning yet? Thanks!

Can't help but let us all know since I'm heading there on Monday.

John,
I was up there this morning for sunrise, and it was clear with moderate temperatures, but windy. I didn't see a whole lot of color change yet, just the occasional yellow leaf on some of the aspens around Bear Lake. Also, Trail Ridge Road was closed as of about noon today, but I think they were expecting it to be open later this evening. They apparently had 6 foot snowdrifts from the storm on Thursday night and Friday. Hope that helps!

Thanks Chris, it helps. TR Closed! I just checked lodgeing up there and everything is booked, Art Fest, Elk Rut and sounds like crowds. I think I'll try a plan B.
Just a follow up--I was at the art fest this weekend and there's barely any tinge of color in the main park itself. Even the canyons heading up to Estes are barely starting. Probably 1-2 weeks out. Depending on weather conditions, of course...
