Some of the recent puffin shots got me looking back over my images from the summer (well, it was meant to be summer anyway ..). This is one from a misty day out on Staple Island.

C&C appreciated as always.

A great pose and I really like the misty setting. :toast:

I like the difference between the muted colours of the body and BG, againts the more striking colours of the beek and feet.

Nice image :toast:

Nice pose and colour, but is it me or does it have its eye closed?

Hi Dave,

The muted light is nice for the blacks and whites on the bird. Yep, you need the next shot in sequence as the nictating membrane is over the eye in this one. I've had to bin a load of puffin shots for a similar reason - they're real s*ds for blinking at the wrong time .
