Thanks to Kevin Trinkner with his morning shot I decided to go up to Clinton Reservoir for soeme evening shots. Though I don't think these are as nice as Kevin's shot, I am still posting it here to see what you guys think. Website material or not.
I actually checked out my schools Nikon D1X to give that a whirl and these photos are as a result, I'll tell you it is quite the interesting thing learning a whole new camera when I am soooo used to canon

I am not too sure about the tree stump, at first I thought it was a great foreground subject, but now I don't know should I have left it out and just gone with a straight lake shot with no foreground subject,
It was weird from the south side of the reservoir as you can tell in the first photo I was able to get a good reflection in the water, but on the north side I couldn't

I like the first image better...nice reflection. Both images look like they need a bit of straightening though.

funny you should mention that Jack, and I am usually big on photos being straight, shame on me huh

I'm with Jack on this one. The reflection is nice, but it needs some straightening. Its nice to see some new snow on those peaks.

the first is by far the better of the two. Just tilt your head one way or the other and they straighten out.

I really like the light and the reflection in the first image.

Glad to give you some inspiration Paul, looks like you had a nice evening of shooting. I agree the 1st is my fav of the two.
I wish there could have been a little snow on them when I was there.
