'Convict Lake'
Eastern Sierra Nevada, California
I made this photograph nearly 5 years ago. I remember getting it drum-scanned soon afterwards but somehow I completely forgot about it. So it was a pleasant surprise to find the scan again. I spent some time working on it today with the idea of preparing a print for my private collection.
Pentax 67ii, 45 mm, polarizer, Fuji Velvia 50
This photograph brings back memories of how much fun it was to photograph the big landscape. I am thinking of doing more of that again.
Thanks for looking. Your thoughts are appeciated.
Regards.

Nice one Anil! The random scattering of yellow leaves on the still water reinforces the stillness of the scene. Fall color is over rated huh?
Anil, this has a very calming effect looking at this open water. As Cory has mentioned, the scattering of leaves on the still water adds to the feeling of not only being so peaceful, but also the fall season we all look forward too. Heck, the clarity of the water and the distant aspen trees isn’t bad either.

Beautiful area, I love going there. Very nice image Anil, I like that you focused the comp on the wonderful detail of the rocks, well done

excellent shot Anil. I have shot this place before but never in the fall. those details in the foreground rocks, the fall colors in the horizon and scattered fall leaves makes the image for me.

Anil,
I love this view and perspective as I commented on in ES&S. In addition Anil, even though it's a landscape and you've been away from photographing the "big landscape," this has your signature all over it.
