young eagle
Ealier this year in the green island marsh there were 4 very young eagles all in 1 tree together looking kind of scared. pushed my lens out to 300mm and looked and they were still getting all of there feathers, some fuzz still around there legs and eyes. I have noticed that 1 of them has stayed around all summer. Since then i bought my 200-500mm tamron, and sunday walking along i got within about 300 ft of this eagle. I believe its one of the 4 from the original group, no way of telling but i just believe so. He sat in this tree saturday afternoon in the rain and drizzle while I took many shots here is one.

Beautiful bird. I don't recall ever seeing one in person. The cluttered background and high contrast are problematic, and I'd like to see the shadows on the eagle opened up to some extent. I imagine it would be tough to catch one on an photographically "ideal" perch, or in flight.

It's hard to pass up any chance to get images of these magnificent birds, Wally. Hope you can get some more with a better background.
