Common Blues + Repost
A pair of Common Blue damselflies mating, taken back in July.

Canon 400D with Sigma 150mm lens.

f8, 1/200, ISO 200, tripod.

Nice one... esp considering how elusive and flighty they seem to have been this year, perch is a tad bright, but could be toned down a touch quite easily and perhaps a shame that the female is just the wrong side of the perch, (not a lot you can do about that).

All in all a very nice image...

A really good behavioural image and I like the diagonal positioning of the perch and damselflies.

thanks for the comments Phil, Justin and Ian. I did actually tone down the perch but I agree it's still looking too bright!

I've had another quick go at the low res image. Not a perfect job but perhaps looks a bit better.

Matt, the picture is strong composition wise, but the perch is still a bit too bringt for me.
