Thought I would get this little rascal on here beings I just posted the caterpillar. There are bunches of this "Snow On The Mountain" growing many places around this area right now. I've seen some almost 5' tall. I usually don't notice butterflies on it much. This Painted Lady (I believe I'm correct on that} didn't want to leave it. I only had access to one side of this plant. I flushed it off 3 different times trying to get it to go someplace else, but it kept coming back to this same plant. Finally it did get out on the end uncovered for a somewhat decent view. But it still wouldn't look at me, hmmmm.

Those painted ladies have a mind of their own! Of course, when you are that beautiful people cut you a bit of slack! The Snow on the Mountain does make the image a bit busy, but nature is not always cooperative with the camera.

Your subject is nicely placed against the b/g here Brad. This might be a good candidate for a big crop from the left, maybe taking the final image to a vertical with the edge just left of the painted ladies wing. That would really bring focus to your main subject and loose all the distracting bush elements. Just my $0.02 worth.
