My website has been refreshed both in layout and images. Have a look if you have a moment.
Many thanks

Hi Rene

Couple of things. Firstly, nothing happens for me when I click on the Galleries 'button'. The others seem OK but I want to see your pics

Secondly - "useful" only has one "l"

How good is your Dutch Barry?
After you have clicked on Gallery, click on my name and the gallery should open.

Site is nice, clean and with excellent images.....but I share Barry's observation - that is not an intuitive way to get access to the image galleries - one feels that the page content should change when you click 'galleries' and it does not - because it is a rollover link, and I can see why the design does that as the two gallery links are actually submenus of gallery and can be accessed from any page. Takes a wee while to figure that out though!

If it were my site I would make the whole page change with the rollover action to alert people to whats going on.

John, i dont quite understand what you are saying:
You dont need to click on Galleries. If you roll over it, it will open the 2 little windows below it, saying Rene de Heer and Arie de Knijff. When you click on my name it will open the gallery.
Thanks for your commenst

The gallery roll outs are not formatted properly on my IE8, they appear IN the menu bar.

IE8 is as far as i know still beta. It works in ALL approved browser formats

A good clean design with some cracking pictures (some taken from your old website?) but not many new ones?! I was expecting to see alot more than just 41 photographs from such an accomplished and well travelled photographer as yourself Rennie!

It's good that you still have room on your website to remember departed friends!

I know what you are saying Rene - but its confusing. If the whole page changed when you rollover it would indicate whats going on. As it is there's no apparent difference between rollover 1- Artist Information and rollover 2 - Galleries. Thats where Barrie got stumped, and I did too!

Very nice Rene, in fact I found it quite straightforward to use.

I liked it too, and it seemed to work well.

I am sure I saw your frosted bridge photo recently in a mag, or am I mistaken?

Well done

Hi Rene,

I don't know the first thing about web design so I'll not comment on that aspect other than to say I found the presentation clean, professional and easy to navigate.

A great selection of high quality images.

Hi Rene
You have some very great images on your site, which is simple and easy to navigate.

Nice one

I liked your site very much Rene, some superb images and once I realised the necessity to click on your name - the navigation was easy!

I appreciate that you all took the time to have a look! Great stuff. I take the comments onboard and have spoken with my webdesigner. I have decided to leave it for the moment and if the need is there will change it. I will add some more images but i prefer to keep the website small and compact. I intend to lose interest if there are too many images,

Thanks again

Hey Rene - my comments/observations were minor ones - the site looks really good and works fine so go with it as it is. Barrie and I might be the exceptions as everyone else seems to have managed to navigate it ok! Good luck!

Rene, I too didn't find the two names immediately obvious. But I did work it out in the end and was able to browse. Everything else works fine for me.
