This was taken from under South Sister in August on my first backpacking trip. For a very brief moment the sun broke through the stormy skies to bathe the landscape in golden light, but it only lasted for a few seconds. Soon after this exposure it began to rain and it did not let up for hours.
Please let me know what you think and how I could have done better for next time

WOW I like it very much. The color is great, and I am jealous. I have been painting the inside of the house all summer and have had no photo op's. Can't wait till fall the painting is done...

Very, VERY nice! Great comp and exposure. I might have given the white area in the pool just a bit more breathing room on the bottom, maybe another inch or two so its not quite touching the bottom of the frame. Other than that I got nothing bad to say about this one.

Thanks Christopher and Eric.

Next time ill be sure to have a bit more space at the bottom I agree that would look better. It would be nice if some wildflowers were bursting around this part of the stream but they were only in areas that weren't conducive to a good photograph.

Beautiful capture Khristian. Color, focus, composition and exposure are all spot on. Some wildflowers would be nice, but are unnecessary as this scene has plenty to feast on. Well done!

This is gorgeous,Khristian! The shutter speed was perfect to smooth but not blow out the water and that sky, and light, are amazing.

This is absolutely stellar, Khristian. Beautiful colors and light showing off a gorgeous scene... doesn't get much better as far as subject matter goes. That sky is remarkable. Your comp and exposure control are both excellent as well.

My first reaction was to want to see more room at the bottom, but I'm rethinking that. Anytime something comes so close to the edge of the frame, there's an instinctive response to want some breathing room. In this case however, I think it would unbalance the image and draw too much attention away from the mountain and the incredible sky.

Very nice work!
