Was attempting to sneak up on these bucks, when someone else came
up the same trail and spooked them. That's what they are looking
at.
Though I'm still happy with this shot.
Was fun getting this close to them.

I am not trying to be rude here, but PLEASE give respect to these animals and give them their space.
They are not disturbing us during dinner time, lets return them a favor of not getting close.

George - I find it odd that you would respond this way without knowing anything about the situation.
You have no idea if I was using 12mm or 1200mm. (It was 1200mm by the way)
You also have no idea of what the terrain was like.
Rest assured, I was not disturbing these bucks.

Agreed. I have no idea how far you were while getting this shot. I only made a comment to the statement "Was fun getting this close to them. ".
Peace...

Cool shot! I like how they're all attentive to something (not you). I don't think I've ever seen so many bucks at once.

Nice light, good focus, neat color. Love the slope and selective DOF. Very nice!

The spooking worked--it got them to line up with the slope, making for an interesting comp!

Great shot Jeremy. Love the way they are lined up.

Quite frankly George, at this time of year a fella with a camera is the least of their worries.
And on the flip side, they're just deer. I've got a herd of about 80 that moved into my neighborhood during the drought. They've never left and keep breeding. They've also become quite destructive to the trees in the neighborhood. Its now almost impossible to plant a new tree because of these guys. I practically have to kick them off the front step at times (and I have seriously walked out the front door to find them on the front steps). And yeah, they do sometimes disturb me at dinner time.

Great colors and I like how they are all looking in the same direction. I wish some wildlife would disturb me at dinner sometimes if I could get a shots like this one!

This is a great shot. So many large bucks together, with so many does alone. No wonder the guy on the right is standing so far away from the others. Look at the racks on the others.
Good job on comp, exp, lines, and subject.

I like this very much for all of the reasons already noted.
Good job!
