Ptarmigan
next stop after chanonry was the aviemore side of cairngorms, which in all was a bit disapointing (lots of crowds and beaurocracy), though i am sure with a bit more time it is possible to get off the beaten track, the highlight was ptarmigan which were an absolute joy to photograph (as ever not enough time) i didn't find them particularly approachable but still a lot of fun

A very nice environmental image Jack. The colours of the surroundings echo the colours of the bird. Good composition. Perhaps tone down that highlight on right.

Hi Jack,

A well composed image. Looks like you had a most productive trip.

Nice shot Jack.
Purely nit picking I reckon the bird could do to be a bit to the left, and the OOF stuff bottomright is a little eye grabbing. Not a lot you can do I know and a well sought after shot.
Cheers

Nice shot of a beautiful bird in its environment, Jack.

A good environmental image Jack, the OOF bottom right is a slight detraction though..... perhaps tone it down a bit.

Great looking bird these Jack. After all these years only had my first this year.
The image shows this off nicely in its enviro and as mentioned the rock on the right needs toning down if poss. :toast:
