Wheatear and environment.
Canon 20D, Canon 500mm f4 & 1.4X extender, 1/500 sec @ f5.6, ISO 400,
Raw, Gitzo 1548/B1.
Levels, Curves, Hue/saturation, Full frame.

Hi,

One from last week. I was attracted to the colours of the heathland surrounding the bird so decided to have the subject small in the frame for a change.

LARGER VERSION

All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Absolutely lovely. The background sets the scene and shows the bird's environment without being at all intrusive.

Cheers

Really like this one, Justin. I love shots that show birds in the context of their habitat, and when their environment is this attractive, it`s even better. Great stuff!

Hello Justin

I really liked your first Wheatear but for me this is so special, the composition, the colours, the light, the pose, everything rolled into one to make a fantastic image. Your images are always a joy to view.
