Here's another shot from the tour bus through the park.

My kind of shot!

Another stunning image. Looks like a super fun trip.

Love the light and contrast of colors in this one. Nice capture. ( especially from the bus! )

Boy, Eric, you sure scored some great shots on that bus, and this is no exception. Makes me want to go there again for another bus trip, now that I know a little more about making photos! It's been so fun to see these for the memories it brings back.

Thanks all! You bet it was Zack, but frustrating as well because I/we had no control of where we were going, how long we'd be there, etc. I felt like I was rushing to get shots taken.

I don't want to rain on this parade, but your previous image of Denali I find so much more powerful. Now this image does capture beautiful scenery, but it just has nowhere near the same effect, as I really don't see a subject that stands out. If I were to choose which one to print, the other one wins hands down.

Wonderful Eric. I never would have guessed that tour bus ride could be so productive. I'm really impressed with what you accomplished. I love the light and lines in the image. I have to say that I don't agree with Kosta. I don't think that all landscape photos need to be over the top with a major geologic feature or sky event to be successful. I often get more out of careful studies of the landscape that capture the play of subtle nuances of light, pattern, color and dimension.

Hey, no problem Kosta, I understand completely. We all see and feel different things in our photos. We can't like them all, nor can they all have the same effect or impact.

The foreground and brown mtns are stunning. But it is truely the shadow and lights on the topography that makes this sing to me. Excellent. I look at those clouds and they seem to cover the sky entirely. So, was this natural or did you amped up in photoshop where you could enhance the light and darkened here and there? Whatever, it worked. Ken S

Eric,

You know, I had to go back and look again at your other image. While I still do prefer the other one, the foreground in this image is much stronger, but the previous image, the background is much stronger. Both have gorgeous light, which everyone is in agreement.

I know what's in order. I need to go to Alaska and see all of the magnificence myself!

Ken, it was mostly natural as there where some breaks in the clouds over head and behind us. I do most of my adjustments in camera raw and very little in PS if anything but sharpening.

You must have had a great trip along with getting superb (SP) pictures, like this one also, and even learned how to call a moosey in, what more can you call for? :)

Very nice, the color and texture are amazing.
