sitting in tree. Unfortunately the data says I had WB on Tungston.
D80 with Sigma 150-500 OS equipment. What is best software (if any) to correct WB?
Thanks

If you used raw, you can simply change the setting in the raw converter. If you have a JPG you can simulate the effect of an 80A filter (traditionally used with daylight-balanced color film to balance tungsten light) in Photoshop under Image-> Adjustments->Photo filters.

Also, if it's a JPEG you can open it in PS CS3 as a RAW file and do the WB correction.

Charlie, welcome to NPN. Great to have you here!
What software do you have? In many cases with a jpeg and basic software, one can go to levels and adjust the R, G, and/or B channels to bring it back to a lifelike state.
And if you want the power Photoshop has to offer, you don't necessarily need to buy CS3 or the upcoming CS4. Plenty of CS2 versions out there, not to mention the less cumbersome (and far less expensive) Photoshop Elements.

Can you post an online link to the full sized version of the image?
I'm sure that one of the digital wizards in this forum would be glad to help you!

Thanks, Everyone!
I have PictureProject and GIMP. Tried R,G and B channels changes -first time user-still seemed too blue. I don't have a site where I can publish full size file. Have dialup only where I am currently. Back in high speed internet area on Tuesday.
Thanks again.

In GIMP, go to "Colors", select "Color Balance" and use the sliders to adjust.
You could also download Raw Therapee, which is a free RAW converter. It will also let you adjust the WB of jpeg files. http://www.rawtherapee.com/?mitem=3
