Yellowstone Elk
Editing some old film scans for a submission and would like comments and critiques. I came across this guy while hiking along the Gibbon River in Yellowstone. He found a small patch of sun and decided it was a good place to take a break.

Canon EOS 3
Fuji Velvia
Sigma 120mm – 300mm EX

Hi Dave, nice shot of this majestic animal. I see two issues. The antlers are close to the top of the frame and it feels like it needs a little more contrast. Other than that, great capture.

I agree that the antlers are a little too tight to the top of the frame. I think less water and more a little more space at the top would be nice. I nice capture though.

Very nice scene. I kinna even like it with the water out of the picture also. :)
