One from this morning. Having finally got to grips with these deer last week I thought I'd have another go today. I found this big lad with a hind. Some roaring going on but no real evidence of the rut starting yet.

Good image. Much better then mine of a small deer.
I have to agree with Rene. The small deer is taking a piece of the attention from the great imposant male.

Two nits from me Robert - first already covered, second is not enough room for 'virtual legs' - if that tall grass wasn't there you'd have cropped his feet with the bottom of the frame
Otherwise nice image

Hi Robert,
Agree with mentoined nits, I'm sure over the next few weeks you will have the chance to better it!! The Reds in Thetford Forest are starting to roar no real signs of the Rut yet though.
Thanks for comments. This was the first frame taken and I was stood next to some tree cover (hence the intruding foliage on right) and as a result I could only just see the hind. As the stag seemed ok with me I moved out from the trees a little way and managed a shot with the stag, the hind and a calf which is probably a bit better.
Andy; I'm in Wales and this is a deer not a bloomin giraffe !!! seriously though, I have taken note of your comment and will strive to improve the next one.
Cheers,
Robert
