Hello all, just back from a trip to South Wales, got to the coast in some nice weather and this little guy posed nicely for an environment type shot!

Nikon D200, 500mm F4

1/200 @ F9
ISO 320

Tweaked levels in CS3, cropped (this is about 75% of frame), sharpened.

Also saw a Wheatear, a first for me, but daren't post my photo after Justin's great shot...

C + C Welcome of course!! :wavey:

Hi Dawn,

It's a nice enviro type shot, with good colours and sharpness, just a shame about the OoF area behind the bird, would have been nicer to have it all that lovely blue sky, but hey ho, that is not always possible.
If you fancy a go at Wheatear, take a trip to Landguard, near Felixstowe, they have about 30 there at the moment.

Regards

Rob

Really nice shot and a lovely blend of colours. Nit covered.

If you have a wheatear shot you like then post it  and don't worry about what else is on here! If I had waitied for a shot that was as good as most on here I would never have posted anything (and still wouldn't) !!

Great colours of the lichens on the rocks, and lovely bird. Perhaps if the cliffs? behind the bird were more in focus. Still a nice enviro shot though.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!! I did wonder what people would make of the oof patch of rock behind the bird, I quite like it as it draws attention to the bird, but it would work well without it, and just the blue. I was hesitant to move, due to the sheer drop....

Thanks Rob for the Wheatear tip, there must really be quite a few around at the mo coz I saw one on my way home from work today  couldn't believe it!

Thanks!! :wavey:
