Was anyone up in the Sierra this past weekend? If so, how are things looking? Any info would be much appreciated.

Rock Creek: Aspens and willows coming along nicely. I'd think between this weekend and the first wknd in oct will peak for the aspens above 9000'. My wife and I were camping in east fork last weekend and went up to mesquito flats. I hiked into the LLV a bit to check on color. The grasses along the lakes are still a mix of yellow and green and the willows still have a bit to go, surprisingly. The aspens in LLv are turning but still a ways out. It seemed that the bulk of the color change in the aspens was from East Fork cg to Mesquito Flats parking lot. Some aspens just down from the parking area were at or very near peak. I'm going back this coming weekend to shoot there and possibly McGee. The following weekend is still up in the air; though I might try and meet up with you guys at LV for the day. If I work up any pics from RC I'll post them here.
Thanks for the updates, Cory. Really hope you can make the trek up to LV some part of the weekend 10/3 thru 10/5. I will still try calling the day I hit Bishop on my way up to LV.
