Hello All,

I thought I would post this question after running in to some dead ends researching on my own thus far. Are there any places online that sell wood frames with bisuited corners instead of stapled at a reasonable price comparable to American Frame? I've been using American Frame and other retail avenues that have the stapeled corners over the past 1 - 1.5 years and for some of my larger pieces, (24 x 30/36 pieces) the corners flex too much. This is the only real complaint I have from any of these establishments. I use glass instead of the plexi etc. for my larger pieces for customer convenience in cleaning and I think ( personal preference ) that a heavier piece seems to add some psychological value to it to the customer. I called some online retail establishments ( Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel ) to see if they might disclose the manufactures, No Dice on them giving me their source.

Any information would be helpful and appreciated. :wavey:

Mitch: I use only custom chopped moulding from Westfall Framing in Florida or Documounts in Seattle. Both offer high-quality wood in a variety of finishes, and I do the joining myself (using quality carpentry glue, of course). Both companies have their own style of 'pins' and routed corners for joining the sections. Both companies also know how to make clean, quality corner cuts, which can be hard to come from other suppliers. I highly recommend either.

Those look like good sources Michael. Thanks for posting them.

For years we''ve bought our heavy wooden frames from Albums Inc and another source, and neither can "get it right." Not only are there order and delivery problems, but the frames are shipped assembled, which really drives up the shipping costs. I'll investigate your sources with great anticipation!

I can't add anything new Mitch just a seconding of Documounts. No complaints from what I have done with them.
