I tried a few different techniques here. Just wondering if it looks "right" or just "soft" or anything else I'm not seeing because I've been staring at it too long. The composition is OK, it really was just a test to try a few different things.

What's interesting to me about this shot is how that giant tree can keep standing with all that water coursing at its feet. As to the image, the softness in the water seems such a contrast to the crisp textures seen in the tree bark and other vegetation. Can't say it's "wrong" though... but I am a little on the fence about granting the "wow factor."
