I know colorful Colorado gets all the glory, but Utah has more than red rocks, salt, and multiple wives. Shot this saturday morning in the Oquirrh Mountains behind my house. If you haven't heard of this range it is because the Wasatch get all the publicity around Salt Lake. These are on the west side of the valley. C&C welcome and thanks for looking.

Beautiful place, Jeff. I really like the lighting and your comp. Thanks for saying where the Oquirrh Mountains are. I had no clue. Say, how many wives do you have?

Jeff, Nice comp! I like the mix of yellow and green with great sidelighting.

I share the same opinion as you, Jeff. No one photographs the La Sals despite their stunning color.
Gorgeous photo here. Looks like an awesome range to explore!

Great lighting and comp. Love the progression from green to yellow as you get higher in the forest.

Excellent shot of "the other mountains!" Almost makes me wanna drive over there right now...well...in the morning I guess would be better.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Paul: I can hardly handle one wife!
Guy: I have tons of shots of the Stansbury's and will be all up in 'em this weekend. They are the other 'secret' range. Me and my wife were lucky enough to witness two very large avalanches this spring up there, they sounded like a fighter jet buzzzing us.

Don't reveal all our secrets, Jeff I was out in the south canyon last weekend and it's starting to look nice. I'll be out of town the next couple of weekends so will probably miss the peak this year.
