This image was taken just below two rivers lake and a couple hours later in the day after the earlier glow on Notchtop. The clouds pretty much hung around all morning until around noon when I hiked out. Most of the morning the notch was socked in, but it peaked out a couple of times. By this point my waterproof jacket was not so waterproof and I was getting a bit damp. Anyway, critiques on the crop and composition are welcome. Enjoy. Kipp.

Sweet clouds and I dig the colors in the shrubbery -- and a nice little rainbow!

Another killer shot! Cool rainbow, too.

Excellent image. I was going to climb Notchtop via the Spiral route last weekend, but bailed due to the forecast. I'm glad to see that you took advantage of the "bad" weather.

Another beauty, Kipp. You experienced quite a magical morning. Definitely worth getting soaked for!

I think I found Waldo too, he is hiding behind that rock on the middle left part of the frame, and he is pointing to the right towards the rainbow

Beautiful image Kipp, really like the composition and the fall colors in the foreground. Where is this area?

Scott, this is on the trail between Bear Lake and Lake Odessa in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is about 3 miles in from Bear Lake just below Two Rivers Lake which is just off of the trail (but mostly out of site from the trail). Two Rivers Lake and Lake Helene are quite close to each other off of this trail. Regards, Kipp.

So you got the rainbow! Excellent, I should have stayed, but as it was, my third blister was forming from my wet boots and socks! Love the colors in the foreground and the touch of the lake.

Beautiful! I really like the comp and the subdued lighting really makes those fall colors pop. The fog & rainbow are really cool. My husband usually does a trail run through this area when we visit RMNP but I've never made it up there. This may inspire me to go with him next time!
