At the Spring Gathering, Dale Edsen showed us some frames he had picked up at a warehouse/custom frame operation in Brighton, Mo. The frames Dale had were part of a large stock of standard frames for $5 to $20 each.

Armed with the info provided by Dale, my wife contacted Tom (owner of the business) and he said that he had several hundred mouldings to choose from and he did custom frames and mattes. We went to the shop and I purchased 11 frames ranging from approx 8 1/2x11 to 13x19 prints with a single matt, and plain glass. All frames and mattes were custom measurements. The mattes varied from 1 to 2 1/2 inches wide and the same for the frames. My wife also ordered 8 frames for her x-stitch projects. Our total purchase averaged $33 per frame/matte combo !!!!!!!

We are very happy with the frames and are planning another trip to order more frames.

I am providing this info as a "heads up" if anyone wants to check it out for their use.
