'Sally lightfoot' crab
Just back after a great trip to the Galapagos, an experience worth the long haul. After 14 days of sailing round the islands and some days in the Cloud forest it's nice to be back

Thought I would post one of the most common animals you will see on the islands, an adult Sally Lightfoot crab, photographed on Española Island, Galapagos.

Hope you like it.

Only one nit for me Steve, there's too much empty space above the subject.

It would work nicely in 3:1 pano though methinks

I really like the POV and the volcanic rock. Do you have one with a clearer view of the pincers?

Cheers

I ilke the way that the blue sky is repeated in the crab's colouration. Wonderful colours throughout and I would be keen to see the pano.

a nice shot and a very striking subject. I agree that losing a bit of sky might improve it further.
