Thanks for your suggestions regarding my earleier posting of this image. I darkened it a bit, burned the upper left and upper right corners.
Your thoughts on the 'redux' will be appreciated.

Much better Preston, not so glaring and in your face. But for me, this is one of those images I have to see in print form to get a feeling for and really evaluate; it just feels like I have too much to look at, can't really focus on one aspect. Maybe it's because of that eye staring at me
Working with this new color neg film is somewhat of a challenge after using tranny film for so long: it's a whole new paradigm. I am really impressed with the dynamic range and the color this film provides!
Lon, I'll be bringing a notebook with 8x10's; nothing larger, though.
Thanks again, all,
-P

Hi Preston,
Although the highlights in this presentation are toned down (compared to the earlier version), I still think its too bright. I typically don't have an issue with the lighter areas in a photograph but in this case I am finding that it doesn't allow me to study the scene as well as I might have, provided the illumination was more even. Actually, its not just the brightness but the high contrast that is preventing me from enjoying the photograph. The composition and subject matter are very intruiging.
Regards.

The is looking a lot nicer. I agree with Anil, however, I still think the contrast could be brought down some more.
