Great Crested Grebe
Was struggling to get decent shot of this Grebe feeding youngsters as the light was not wonderful and there was quite a breeze making the water rather choppy. Out of about 200 less than 10 were reasonable!

It's an excellent shot Kim and the half-formed feathers are an interesting feature. I like the comp a lot. Removing the light Oof spot top left and darkening the two behind its head would be a worthwhile improvement IMO as they draw the eye some.

Kim,

I've chased my resident pair for ages and never got anything as good. I've always found flatter lighting works with them as the breast feathers burn out so easily.

A cracking shot Kim. I agree with Eric regarding the 'improvements' but I for one would be delighted to have taken this.
