Last of 2004's color
This image was made on the last Sat of October 2004 (I think the day before Halloween?) It rained like crazy starting shortly after this was shot and fall, as far as leaves to shoot on trees was over. Same thing last year... Chuck & I hot some great shots on the 3rd Monday in October last year in the park... then the rains came and on Monday night... on Tuesday it was over.

Timing is everything.
Chuck? What’s happening over there in the park? Any color yet? See you on the 20th.
JG
This was actually shot on Velvia using a Nikon F100. 28-70mm Lens!

Cuyahoga National Park--Bridleveil Falls area
It's a great place when you hit it right!

Great image, Jack. I've got to get up there one of these years.

The carpet of leaves is simply stunning. Sweet shot Jack!

Yeah... I remember you rubbing that one in to me. I'd left Sunday evening from your place and you shot that Tuesday or Wednesday afterwards

While I'm here, I may be up in Cuyahoga the weekend of the 25'th. I'm not sure yet, but it is on my list of Fall trips. I'll try to e-mail you later this week.

Details, details, details... It is still better than most of what I have from there!

I should be finalizing most of my October plans in the next few days. The real priority is a trip to the MI UP, and then going from there. The other major competing trip would be Thurmond, WV but I suspect motel prices at that time of the year will be a lot higher than Cuyahoga. Once I check things out, I'll let you know.

I have only shot Cuyahoga once this year, earlier this summer for a day, so I am anxious to get back up there. Things are finally beginning to get back to normal for me.

Spent some time in the park over the weekend and this morning. Things are happening fast in some places. Others, not so much.
