Life is Good
Release of a kestrel at Fossil Creek NOCO Birding Fair today. Fun.

While we are all suffering from elections and financial chaos at least one wee raptor is having a good day! :-)

And later a wood duck too!

Very nice Photojournalistic shot Bill!. These US Kestrel's are similiar yet different to the UK ones!. Only nit with the shot is the blurred area BLC.

I should probably crop it a little. Just sharing the good work of the rocky mountain raptor program and the natural areas programs. Lots of hard working volunteers have created a wonderful support for wildlife in NOCO.

Great shot and a great story too. Those people are everyday heroes you do not hear enough about.

Are these injured animals rehabilitated?

Yes they are mostly injured animals that are sent to the raptor centre, most of them can't be released but some can. They are the lucky ones.

Often they have broken wings or have been hit by vehicles.
