From just after sunrise this morning at Mirror Lake. With the days getting shorter its getting a little easier to travel some distance for morning light. Not a whole lot of color at all this morning up on Hood, but I came away with this. Its similar to a shot I took at Trillium a month or so ago. Is this too plain? My initial thought is that it lacks foreground interest / better foreground element. Im also wondering if it is a bit dark. Any thoughts or suggestions are always welcome. - Bryan

I think this is one of those images where dead center is perfect and allowable.. Very nice reflection and the fog really makes this stand out. I don't think it's too dark...at least for my tastes.

I too like it as it is. Plain or simple doesn't necessarily mean boring - this is plenty nice to look at. It's also not too dark for me and the centered Hood is not a problem for me either.

I like it! Especially the calm water and fog. My only suggestion might be to shoot this from a little higher to get the grass off the mountains reflection but that's being real nit picky.

I agree that the image is not too dark as it helps set the mood. Nice job!
I like the symmetry in this with the dawn backlighting the scene. It is dark but the image has that magical "break of day" feeling. I wouldn't change a thing. And I love the mist on the lake-- another signature of dawn.
