Recently I had a brief session trying to photograph Migrant Hawkers in flight but they weren't really co-operating. However, I was reasonably pleased with this shot of a mating pair.

Canon 40D with 400 f5.6 lens and 32mm of extension tubes.

1/800, f5.6, ISO 400, tripod.

All C+C welcomed.

Well done with this one Matt - difficult to get this close without them parting

I'm constantly amazed when I see these macro shots and this is another cracker. It does look a touch light on this monitor but that could be my end.

Hello MATT.

Excellent work, an all round first class image. In fact its probably one of the best pair of mating Hawkers I've seen.

Great shot, very colourful and good DoF. I find the framing a little tight for my tastes.

So you should be reasonably pleased with this one. It is superb.
Sharp in all the right places - a real achievement.
