As opposed to the Scotch sort. An early morning stag. When I spotted him I thought he'd seen me and was doing a runner but it turned out there was another stag at the opposite side of the field and he was about to see him off. Very misty morning and a high iso has given a very muted fel to the picture.

Very atmospheric. I, personally, would crop some of the OOF stuff off the bottom, as it somewhat detracts from the stag, IMHO.

I think I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the top and the bottom. A nice atmospheric image. A slight shame the stag was facing away from you.

Great fog and would have been a super shot if stag was facing the other way!
In spite of that I still like the shot.

An excellent idea, but sadly it looks like one of those frustrating 'if only' shots to me. If only it had been facing the other way, if only it was seeing the other stag off when you took the picture. A shot to revisit in the future and I would keep this one as a marker on the way to the one you really want. Eric

Hi Robert,
Cracking shot! I don't mind him facing away from the viewer (It's ok to break the rules at times! ). I just would compose the shot slightly differently to emphasis it more.
