Just upgraded my website. I've heard my photos are a little washed out sometimes on others' monitors, so I am hoping some adjustments I just made worked. Of course, they look great on my monitor, but I don't know how they come across to others. Here it is:

Let me know if they are too washed, too dark or just fine.
Thanks,

A quick run through your 'Scenics' and 'Yellowstone' galleries, and they look great on my monitor.
Without seeing the 'before' results, just wondering what adjustments you performed.

Photos look fine on my Apple computer. The gammut is usually darker on PCs.
As for the gold and blue combination. I can't say that works too well for my eyes particularly when small blue text is on the gold background. If you're set on that color scheme I'd experiment with ways to make your text as readable as possible while still utilizing the highlight color of your choice.

Thanks for the comments and advice. Glad the images appear fine. I'll take heed of making that print appear more pleasing and legible. Gold print on blue may be overdoing it, so maybe I can try an off-white.
As far as image adjustment, I simply worked in Photoshop and saved them as jpegs. Then with my web program, NOF, or Net Objects Fusion, I used their image adjustment feature to tweak brightness, contrast and saturation for the final output. My own monitor may simply not have been bright enough, so I set it to full brightness. MM

Mark,

All the images look just fine in terms of color, brightness, saturation, etc. I'm on a PC using IEv7+.

You didn't ask per se, but I'm not a big fan of the site colors or brown/orange. I also wish there were next/prev navigations when viewing the image galleries.

BTW, you have beautiful images.

Thanks, Lon. I'll see what I can concoct for web colors. They seemed neat to me, but Im realizing more and more, simplicity is far more effective at times. And I debated the arrow buttons, and now will add them. MM

Good color on the images. Agree that the site colors are somewhat bright. Like your Bio .

P.S. Have you been in to photograph the Gray's lately. I heard a couple of them were killed this winter?

Have not tried this year, and I have not heard of anyone having any luck. I was present just after when both grays were killed last fall. One was allegedly by a Park service dump truck. They do barrel down the highway. I'm afraid there's a possiblity a couple of photographers may have been pushing the bird, which resulted in it's flying over the road and getting hit. There's no certainty of that, as the birds do that often anyway. But photogs got to watch out for that sort of thing. No shot's worth it.

The other was hit on the highway also, but it's unclear who hit it. (no photogs in the area this time) It was actually injured. I contacted the park service and they came by to try to save it. Not much gratitude, though. That's the second time in that area I left with ill feelings. The other time, one of those Park workers had this notion of what I might be thinking, (that I might drive by, stop the car and take a picture of an event), and began admonishing me with a bad manner about not doing it. I had no inclination of doing it anyway. Talking about thought police! mm

Thanks for the update. I know what you mean. Was in the park a couple of weeks ago and ran into a obnoxious ranger on a wolf kill. I guess there are a couple in every crowd. Most of the Rangers and workers are pretty decent thank goodness.

Yes, most are pretty decent and logical. I can see how dealing with crowd control can be difficult.
