Proud parent!
I spent some time watching the adult Grebe feeding and encouraging the juveniles to catch their own fish. It was amusing watching the adult give the juvenile a fish and then get exasperated by his attempts to turn it round to eat head first - and then snatch it back!!. This was one the juvenile actually caught himself!!

Nice one, is this a large crop?

I am not convinced on the square format here, would prefer to loose some from the bottom and have more to the front of the birds, they also appear to be swimming slightly downhill.

All the best

Hi - thanks for the comments, Ian, Phil and Andy, will try a little more sharpening Ian - am always concerned that I might over do it. No -Phil it is not a big crop - they were very close - and I was lying on the edge of the water - (people walking their dogs round about looking at me as though I was bonkers) perhaps I was not holding the camera absolutely straight!!

Nice, I agree with the nits covered. I like the way you have captured the parent watching the young, and the pose/position of them. He/she seems very attentive!

The crops a little too tight for me Kim, otherwise a nice shot.

Hi Kim,

Lovely capture! The square crop doesn't work for me here (and I'm usually a fan of square crops!). More canvas to the right would work with a touch of the bottom!

Hi Kim
You certainly got a good series on these birds. I agree about the water level and I certainly would like a bit picture more on the right. If you haven't got any it would be difficult in this case to put any in.
If not - just level it !!

Very nice capture, Kim, but I think the crop it a bit too tight. Maybe you should consider cropping it otherwise (if possible of course).

Have edited the original in the way that has been suggested - cannot put any more on the front - that's full frame now! Not sure about levelling John??!!
Have sharpened the head a bit more too.
Thanks for the suggestions - much appreciated, hope it looks better now!!
