Just a quick note to let all you guys know that the leaves at Bear Lake are finally down. 50% have now fallen and the rest are not looking too good. There must have been some winds up there last night were still looking ok this past weekend. Just wanted to save anyone from making a special trip up there. The Bierstadt Moraine is coming along nicely though.

Phew! With that title my first impression was that you tripped and fell while shooting around Bear Lake. Would hate to read that you sprained an ankle or blew out a knee and was laid-up. Or even worse, lost some gear.

and I thought you were talking about the trees had fallen from some kind of monster wind storm or a giant UFO landed there and knocked all the trees down

Conditions were great last evening at that spot, but the rest of the lake was definately dropping leaves like mad.
Erik, you are right, that moraine is fantastic right now. I spent all day hiking that area yesterday and got some great color to work with!
