This past weekend we drove up to Copper Harbor in the Michigan UP . I’ve posted a few photos on my web site so you can see the status of the fall colors. Photos are divided into the East and West coasts of the Keweenaw Peninsula as well as the Porcupine Mountains. It looks like the interior of the Keweenaw will peak the week of October 5th with the areas around the lake about a week later. The same appears to be true of the Porcupine Mountains. Apparently everything is about a week late this year.
The drive up from Hayward to Ashland Wisconsin was colorful. This area should peak around next weekend. It looked like Copper Falls State park is a couple of weeks away. The drive from Ontonagon to Houghton Michigan was very colorful and probably will peak by the end of this week.
